STYLE: #GeniusJeans with George

I was recently challenged by George at Asda as part of their #GeniusJeans campaign to style three outfits and create a capsule wardrobe to take on holiday and last week we went away for a short trip to France so it was perfect timing! George asked me to chose a ‘hero product’ to feature in each outfit and create three different looks based around this item. We were only travelling with hand luggage so creating a capsule wardrobe was the perfect motivation to pack light! My hero product was a pair of super flattering dark navy skinny jeans, which literally went with everything and fit so well.
Here are my capsule wardrobe choices:
Outfit One: I wore this on an evening out in France, we visited a Jazz Club where we sat in the marina. The light material of the floral kimono was perfect as the sun set over the water and the temperature started to drop. I love a kimono, such an easy way to jazz up (see what I did there?) a plain pair of jeans and a top and turn it into an evening outfit.

Outfit Two: This stripy mid-length sleeve top is a classic look. Perfect for pairing with jeans, a beach bag, sunnies and sandals for a day of sightseeing. I get burnt easily, so this was ideal for keeping the sun from my shoulders as we wandered through quaint villages.

Outfit Three:  The last of my outfits included this white breezy top with necklace included. This looked great together, however is such great value as I paired the necklace with other outfits too! This was such a lightweight airy material, perfect for lunch in the sun and the cut was super flattering too.

I mixed all of these outfits with a glam beach straw beach bag with sparkles of gold, bright coloured sandals for a pop of colour and of course, a great pair of sunglasses.

Since then, I’ve had quite a few compliments on my outfits and people can’t believe my clothes are from Asda. I’ve actually been really impressed with the quality of the items I’ve been sent and they do some really versatile pieces, you can have a whole new wardrobe for not much money at all! If you are shopping for holiday clothes soon, give George a go – you might be surprised at what you might find!
