Amigurumi To-Do List

Hey Peaches,
Hope you are all having a great week! My apologies for not being around much, it’s been a busy week with two work nights out and an essay due in, I have been a busy bee. With the little spare time I have had I have been teaching myself ‘Amigurumi’, this is the Japanese word for small stuffed toy and is quite a big thing in the crochet world. A few of my friends are having babies/have children so I thought I would learn to make them some little cuties. I am even thinking of opening an Etsy store to sell a few once I’ve got the hang of things, and I might make a few for myself, after all they are SO cute and there are literally thousands of designs online. I’m currently working on the little pink teddy in the top left hand corner and will post a picture once he is finished. I am learning very slowly from YouTube videos, and have found this great guide to beginners Amigurumi here. It’s not easy, it took me at least 3-4 tries to even get the first part started and it’s a steep learning curve, but once you get the basics sorted the Amigurumi world really is your oyster! I can see this being quite an addictive little hobby 🙂
Have you ever made a cute Amigurumi? Which designs would you make?
P.s – Google Reader is going soon, remember to follow me on BlogLovin 🙂
