I was recently contacted by a glasses company, SelectSpecs.com to try out a lovely new pair glasses from their economy range. This couldn’t have come at a better time, I had just had eye test and found out I needed some new specs. However, money has been tight for me this month after an expensive car drama and various other bills, I just couldn’t justify shelling out on a new pair. I usually spend between £100-£150 per pair so it had to wait. Without sounding like a ‘glasses snob’, I have never really found a pair I like, or suited me for less than about £100 so I was at first on the dubious side by the term ‘economy range’. I wear my glasses all day at work, so finding a pair to suit me is a really important factor for me, and worth the investment to know they look nice.
I had a look through the range and to my surprise, I saw some really lovely designs with prices ranging from just £10-£25. After deliberating for quite some time, I chose a pair of black & purple frames, with light weight lenses.
That price includes the lenses and the basic coating package, which is utterly amazing value. Shipping is extra at £5.95 within the UK (and I believe they do ship internationally too).
I eagerly awaited my order, slightly nervous as usually I would try on quite a few pairs of glasses before selecting the ones I want. My order arrived within just a few days, I was so surprised they can make tailor-made prescription orders so quickly. The glasses came in a hard plastic case with cleaning cloth, all included within the price.
The verdict is, I am really, really happy with my order and love my new glasses! The purple design is lovely and a bit quirky compared to my current pair. Best of all, is they are so lightweight – I wear my glasses all day at work and they don’t leave that annoying little red patch on the bridge of the nose like a lot of other frames do, not an attractive look! The prescription was created perfectly for me and after wearing them at work every day for a month now I have not experienced any tired eyes or headaches like I was getting previously.
I would highly recommend using SelectSpecs.co.uk.
Already V-man has had a browse of their website and picked a pair to order as their menswear range is also great. They offer both prescription and plain lenses, so please do check them out! I will definitely be ordering from them again.
