One of my favourite times of the year is coming up fast, I love all the spooky decorations, pumpkins and of course, yet another excuse to eat naughty treats 🙂 Here are a few ideas I’ve come up with for the perfect spooky celebration…
Firstly, we will need the decorations…
I don’t like things to be too tacky at Halloween (well, as possible) so I loved this ‘Happy Halloween’ banner, as it’s quite tasteful as well as fun. It’s also a free printable which is great for putting on a party on a budget.
I’m loving Etsy at the moment since I opened my own little store, and have been browsing some great handmade Halloween items to add unique style to any party and support other crafters. I love this cute Halloween Garland.
So next, there has to be a pumpkin!
Melted crayons give a different look for sure to the usual carving.
One of the most important things at a party is…. cocktails!!
I found a great list of Top 10 Frightening Easy Halloween Cocktails. I’m no expert so they need to be pretty simple, these look perfect, quick and easy to put together. My favourite from the list is the Black Cat.
Ingredients and Directions:
1 oz vodka
1 oz Blue Curacao
3 oz Sprite
1 oz cranberry juice
1 wedge of lime
In a cocktail shaker with ice, add Curacao and vodka. Stir well. Pour mixture into a tall glass with ice and Sprite. Add lime wedge and you’re ready to go.
To complete the Halloween festivities, don’t forget the costumes! Medieval-themed ensembles will never go out of style – think Anne Boleyn or Henry VIII! I’m sure the kids will love dressing up and playing the part too!

I’ve always loved Candy Corn and I wish it was a bit easier to find here in the UK. Luckily though, shops like Cyber Candy are finally starting to stock it. I really want to make these tasty pumpkin candy corn cupcakes. They look delicious!
