Review: Green People City Sky Eye Duo

The lovely people at the Green People are running a fun little selection of offers on the run up to Christmas called The Green People’s 12 days of Christmas. Today’s offer is on the City Sky Eye Duo, which I was kindly sent to review. If you’ve been reading my blog a little while, you will know I’m a huge fan of the Green People and use many of their products, their skincare and bath products are fantastic! I’m a complete newbie to their make up range, so I was delighted to be asked to try this product.

The City Sky Eye Duo (£17.50) is a certified organic eyeshadow based on city shades ‘hazy beige’ and ‘slate grey’. They can be used individually or blended together to enhance the shape and colour of your eyes. I’m a fan of the blended look, so I tried both shades together, using the lightest shade all over the lid, then adding the darker grey from the outer edge blended in around the middle. 

I’m not amazing at taking photos of my eyes but here was the finished look. The photo really doesn’t do these gorgeous eyeshadows any justice – what you can’t see in this photo is the gorgeous shimmer these shades offer, it’s not too ‘glittery’ it’s more of a subtle lustre which I really loved. Each colour is highly pigmented and applies smoothly and evenly. Blending was easy too, although I did go a little overboard with the slate grey shade at first as I didn’t expect the pigment to be so strong! Another great quality is the product is highly moisturising as the powder is pressed with vitamin E, jojoba oil and beeswax. After a whole day of wear the colour hadn’t budged and looked as good as on application. I’m impressed! 

The City Sky Eye Duo also comes in a cute compact, made from recycled materials with a little mirror too so it’s perfect to pop in your handbag.
