Review: Magnitone Pulsar – Daily Skin Cleansing and Toning System

A couple of weeks ago I was delighted to be asked to trial new skincare cleansing and toning system called the Magnitone Pulsar*. I had already fallen in love with the Boots No.7 Cleansing Brush so I was excited to see what paying that little bit extra would get me and use a higher quality product. In a nutshell, The Magnitone Pulsar is a skincare brush, designed to effectively deep cleanse, tone and stimulate your skin, helping to give it a lovely radiant glow. They say that you can start to see results after 7 days, however I’ve been using the product for  a full 14 days now, morning and night to give it a good test run so I can report back to you with my honest opinion and results.
The brush is designed for use on both the face and the body and has four cleansing modes to suit all skin types. The cleansing modes provide a deep clean, removing deep impurities and reducing the appearance of visible pores. The massage settings are to tone the skin and boost circulation -this all helps to diminish the visible signs of ageing, fine lines and wrinkles, it also helps to promote a healthy glow. The system is fully waterproof, which is great – especially for use over the body in the shower! The rubbery coating makes it really easy to grip and control, even when the system is wet.
Two brush heads are supplied with the system, one for use on the body, one for the face. You can also buy sensitive skin brushes which are a tad softer. The brushes supplied are quite soft, not scratchy or bristly at all, but firm enough to give a good clean and exfoliate. When the brush is turned on the system uses electromagnetic technology and the brush head vibrates and pulses, in fact miraculously it oscillates 15,000 times a minute!  This feels very different to my No.7 brush I would say is a lot better as it is far less abrasive to the skin and gives a soft, tingly massage feeling. The brush has a sort of suspension system to it, so it moves with the shape of your face – tricky areas around the nose and mouth are a lot easier to reach.
The last feature of this brush I really loved was the fact it’s fully rechargeable. The brush comes with a neat cradle to store it in, which plugs into the mains. When charged the brush lasts for 3 weeks so you don’t need to charge up very often.
My Results
With the technical bits out of the way, lets get down to what I really thought of my Magnitone Pulsar. Overall, I’m so, so impressed with the results! From day one my skin felt instantly smoother and polished, then after a few days any red patches and impurities started to clear up. After a week the results were incredible, my skin was completely clear, softer than I’ve ever felt it, plus it felt so energised.
I use the brush with my normal cleansers, usually with my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish in the evening and a relaxing massage before bed, then in the morning I add a massive zing with The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Facial Wash which has a menthol kick too – mixed with the massage setting it’s such an amazing boost to the skin first thing in the morning!
I would thoroughly recommend the Magnitone Pulsar, I’ve definitely seen great results and will continue to use this system as part of my daily cleansing routine without fail.
The Magnitone Pulsar retails at £129.00, however is currently half price at the moment at Boots at an amazing £64.99.
