Why I’m Loving….Mineral Make Up

I might be a bit late to the party, but recently I’ve had a new obsession. It’s mineral make up, it’s just amazing! I love the matte, smooth flawless finish it gives, and it’s much better for your skin as it doesn’t clog the pores. Another thing that attracts me to mineral make up is that the main ingredients are usually all natural.
I have three brands I have loved trying out so far. The first is Beautiful Movements Cosmetics. A company set up by Laura, the founder of LoveThePlanet.co.uk and Kimberly Wyatt from the Pussycat Dolls, they aimed to create a cruelty free brand of makeup that is light on the skin and allows the skin to breathe. Their foundations contain Zinc Oxide, a natural anti-inflammatory which helps soothe spot-prone skin.
I tried their Mineral Blush in Peachy Glow (left) and Velvet Dawn (right), plus the Finishing Powder in Dewy Perfection. The blushes have such a high pigmentation, you really only need a tiny bit to get a lot of colour! I love how the colour blends, I found it was easier to apply than my regular blusher, as I had more control over the blend. Their brushes are fab too! I tried the Foundation Brush (121) which is made from synthetic hair rather than animal to keep it cruelty free, it applies the product evenly across the skin, allowing you to buff out imperfections and create a really perfect look. I really loved Beautiful Movements Cosmetics and will be certainly buying more from their range soon.
The next product is this great Mineral Foundation from Mii in Precious Peach. I haven’t managed to get my mitts on this yet, but it’s on my Christmas list for sure. I love this pale, but warm shade. – it’s perfect for me. Their products work in harmony with your skintone and give such a perfect professional makeup finish.
Lastly, I am loving Bare Minerals. We were lucky enough to receive these cute sample pots and  little mini brushes at the Milla Grace event, and it’s just fuelled my obsession. My sample has nearly run out now even though I’ve used it so many times, a little bit goes a long way. I’ve got my eye on the Original Foundation in Fairly Light, once Christmas is out of the way.
Have you tried Mineral Make up? Which products would you recommend?
