Introducing: Jin Designs (based in Hove, actually!)

Doing up the flat has given me an excuse to buy some new stylish bits for the flat and Brighton is the perfect place for sourcing unique furniture and items for the home. I really wanted to inject some personality into the flat by collecting some quintessentially personal items, rather than buying from the usual places like Ikea or Next. I have been mooching around areas like the North Laine’s looking at everything from antiques to the quirky shops to find the right pieces, plus it’s really great to support our local businesses too! One of my best finds was a brand new design studio has opened just down the road in Hove, called Jin Designs.
The website is filled with such gorgeous items, I had to stop myself from buying everything! The designer, Jinny Ursell, who is also a graphic designer, clearly has a particular style. I just love the clean and simpleness mixed with subtle, modern designs.
After perusing the website for quite some time, I eventually decided on the Beach Huts Mug and Tea Towel Set (£20) as if I’m honest our kitchen is looking a little on the bare side. Plus it fits with our Brighton theme, as we have some large prints of the seafront on the walls.
This lovely gift set includes a mug made from fine bone china and a tea towel made from 100% pure cotton. Both items are clean and simple white, with a cute little row of beach huts along the bottom. They are both such gorgeous and really stylish pieces – the perfect addition to our kitchen. At £20, the gift set is not the cheapest, but you can really tell that both products are of a high quality finish and made with only the finest materials. They came packaged in a little box with two sticks of ‘Jin Designs’ Rock, which I thought was a really lovely personal touch.

It’s so refreshing to find a local business that demonstrates it’s passion in such a creative way at a reasonable price. Well worth a look at Jin Designs if you are looking for something uniquely creative with a touch of Brighton added!
