BEAUTY: Summer Showertime Favourites

I don’t have a bathtub in my current home, so I try and add a touch of luxury to every shower to make it a pampering experience. I could spend hours in the shower if I could, just thinking to myself, listening to music and pampering. It’s almost as good as a nice long bath, if you’ve got the right products.  I’ve been trying some new bits this summer, so here’s a little round-up of what I’m currently using on a daily basis, and my current showertime favourites:
Soap and Glory Clean, Girl’s Skin Softening Body Wash (£6.50*) – This is such a gorgeous scented pearlescent shower gel, it foams up into a soft bubbly lather and leaves my skin feeling soft and smelling great.
Soap & Glory Scrub ’em and Leave ’em Body Buff  (£2.50*) – one of my very favourite body scrubs, it contains babassu oil, sea salt and moisturising jojoba and mandarin oils and is scented with the signature Mist You Madly™ fragrance. I love it as it has quite a rough scrub and leaves my skin super, super soft however still moisturised by the oil.
St. Ives Timeless Skin Apricot Scrub (£4.49*) – This product I was in two minds about, I used to use this all the time as a teenager, in fact I used to scrub my skin raw with this (as I thought you were meat to do at 15). I then later on in life read online that this particular scrub can be too harsh and cause damage to the skin, so gave up my trusty old favourite. However, when I saw the Timeless skin version, I decided to give it a go. The Timeless Skin formula seems to be a lot softer to the skin with added moisturising properties, I really like it! I’m glad to have an old classic back in my routine.
Wilkinson Sword Quattro Pearl and Papaya (£5.49*) – A good razor is essential in the summer, I’m loving this Pearl and Papaya Quattro as it contains moisturisers to keep the legs super soft, meaning I don’t have to shave daily.
The Green People Sensitive Cleanser & Make-up Remover (£18.95*) – This ultra-sensitive make-up remover is perfect for getting all my make-up off, including waterproof mascara. I tend to wear this more in the summer so I need a really good cleanser to take it off without irritating my skin. I also get heat rash so tend to stick with neutral products when the temperature rises.
John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Blonder Shampoo and Conditioner  (£5.99 each) – I’ve been using the Go Blonder range for a while now, I haven’t had my hair highlighted in a while and it started to look a bit dull, I also have pretty significant root growth (however my natural hair is a mousy shade so it isn’t too obvious). This has honestly kept my colour so bright, it has really helped to keep my colour fresh and lighten my roots too. It means I haven’t had to rush back to the salon so quickly which saves me money in the long run, perfect! It also leaves my hair lovely and silky too so it’s a great all round shampoo and conditioner, and my ‘go-to’ product every time.
