The Body Shop are just on fire with their new releases at the moment – I honestly can’t keep up! After huge success with the Fijian Water Lotus range and the prestigious Wild Argan Oil hitting our shelves only last week, the next on my list of exciting new products from this amazing company is the Golden Nudes range, which is part of their Colour Crush makeup collection.
The range is illuminated with golden glitters, to achieve a sensual golden glow. Catching the light the eyes and lips are sprinkled with a subtle golden shimmer, adding a gorgeous sun kissed glow to any look this summer.
I was excited to try two of the brand new Golden Nudes Colour Crush eyeshadows, 245 Coco Deluxe and 125 Champagne Kiss (£7.00 RRP). These are gorgeously shimmery, the photo doesn’t really do them justice. The two blended together give a lovely golden finish. I like to use the lighter shade all over the lid, then work in from the outer edge with the darker brown to accentuate my eye. They are the kind of shades I would take on holiday with me, however as I’m not going away a sunset BBQ on Brighton Beach will have to do!
The next on my list is the new shades of Colour Crush Lipsticks range (£10 RRP). I tried the golden pink 140 Make my heart gleam, which is my favourite of the two. Firstly, such a cute name for a lipstick, I love it! It’s such a pretty pink with a subtle golden shimmer that isn’t too glittery. It catches the light giving a warm golden glow. I’ve been wearing this lipstick constantly, it goes with everything!
The other lipstick I tried was 350 Golden Syrup, this is a much lighter classic taupe nude shade. I usually avoid such light colours as they can often make my complexion look washed out, however with the golden glow this adds a touch of warmth to such a light shade. Another great colour I’ll wear time and time again.
The last new product on the scene is not actually part of the Golden Nudes range but just as amazing, keeping to the exotic Arabian theme that is The Body Shop’s collection this summer, this is the new Gel Eyeliner and Brow Definer (£10 RRP). Two products in one, this is a handy little product to line the eyes and shape brows for a dramatic look. The ultra-dark pigmented formula is enriched with community fair trade oils to reveal it’s intensity and depth. For me this is an amazing eyeliner, the brush makes it so easy to apply, the silky formula applies well and lasts all day. However, for me as a black eyeliner I won’t be defining my light blonde eyebrows with it or I might look a little odd! But for the darker in complexion and hair colour I’m sure this would be a fabulous multi-use product!
All of these products came out last week so you can buy the Golden Nudes Collection and Gel Eyeliner and Brow Definer from stores or from The Body Shop website now!
