BEAUTY: The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Launch

I was recently invited to a very special launch party for this summer’s most exciting release from The Body Shop – The Wild Argan Oil Range. Hosted in central London at the Momo Café, with its glittering hanging lanterns, golden tables and intricate fabrics covering the stools and sofas, a group of gorgeous bloggers all excitedly gathered around to hear about the new range. We were thoroughly spoilt throughout the entire evening; we mingled and chatted over Mojito’s and Moroccan delicacies (which were all cooked in Argan oil…of course!). There were masseurs offering relaxing hand/arm massages using the new products, an artist who wrote our names in Arabic, and a henna tattoo artist. The final surprise of the evening was a glitzy belly dancer to entertain us all and teach us a few moves too!

I’ve already fallen in love with the new range, for more reasons than one. Firstly, the beauty benefits of Argan Oil are just incredible. Argan Oil is sourced from the foothills of the Atlas Mountains in Morrocco, where the Wild Argan tree grows. Once every two years, the fruit of this tree ripens and the nuts are hand-picked and meticulously hand-cracked by local women to extract the purest most radiant oil. STEP 1: GET IN THE MOOD A key part of the Hammam is allowing yourself the time to step away from the daily grind. Carve out some ‘me’ time – dim the lights, bring out the candles and take a deep breath. You can now sink into a hot Wild Argan Oil Bubbling Bath, or a hot steamy shower to help calm & soften skin, open the pores and prepare it for treatment.

STEP 2: CLEANSE Next, cleanse using the Wild Argan Oil Shower Gel before exfoliating with the Rough Scrub. Body loving hint: a gentle rinse of cold water will close pores in preparation for moisture.

STEP 3: MOISTURISE Generously apply the rich Wild Argan Oil Body Butter or if you prefer something lighter, the Wild Argan Oil Body Lotion. Add the Miracle Solid Oil to those extra dry areas.

STEP 4: RADIATE Finally, coat your skin in The Radiant Oil for an extra silky finish and a golden glow.

The sale of this magical Argan Oil is directly enhancing the lives of these local Berber women and their families by investing in social projects such as school rooms, crèches, doctor’s visits and more.

I’m so impressed with this range. It looks fantastic too – the gold packaging and golden oils give it the most luxurious feel of all of the The Body Shop’s ranges in my opinion. It is deeply nourishing to the hair and skin and smells utterly divine; using these products feels like a real pampering spa experience. I also think it’s so reasonably priced seeing as Argan Oil is one of the rarest, finest oils in the world.
