BRIGHTON: Tai Hair & Beauty

A couple of weeks ago I was kindly invited along for a couple of treatments at Tai Hair and Beauty Salon. This couldn’t have come at a better time as I’ve been feeling frazzled to say the least, so I headed down to Hove to recharge, relax and be pampered from top to toe!
Tai Hair and Beauty are a salon focused on giving a professional service with the highest levels of customer service and attention to detail, and this you can really tell.  I find spa treatments sometimes on the awkward side (theres always that worry of getting changed, feeling comfortable etc) so I was pleased to be greeted by the super friendly receptionist and taken to a beautiful, calming treatment room complete with quirky Brighton wallpaper and funky decor, where my masseuse explained the whole treatment process and left me to get undressed in the room and settle in on the comfy massage table in complete privacy.
The first treatment I had was a facial. We started off by having a consultation to decide which facial would be right for me. I decided on the Brightening Skin Facial as my skin is pretty blemish free, however it quite often looks tired and dull. The products used for the facials are all from the Crystal Clear Skincare range and personalised to suit my skin type. I find facials so relaxing and especially loved that we chatted the whole process through, along with some really handy skincare tips to keep my skin fresh and bright after the treatment too. They also had a facial steamer (I’m not sure on the technical term here!) which was an experience in itself but so good for deeply cleansing my skin. The last step of the facial was a cleansing face mask, I then laid for 10 minutes listening to the tranquil music, I was so relaxed I nearly drifted off. It was perfect!
My second treatment was a Hot Stone Massage. This I really needed as I felt so stressed I had actually pulled a muscle that ran all the way from my neck down one side of my body so I was in desperate need of something to sort my back out! I chose this as it’s a light, relaxing massage where the heat of the stones warm targeted areas to relieve tightened muscles. I loved this as it wasn’t too sore on my pulled muscles, I just drifted away listening to the soft, soothing music as the warm stones were placed on my back accompanied by a very light massage. I think this was perfect for me as I had quite a few areas of tension and painful parts of my back, however I would recommend something a little firmer if you prefer a deeper massage.

Overall, I had a really great experience at Tai Hair and Beauty, I left feeling calm, soothed and relaxed. It’s so important to take this time out once in a while and recharge the batteries and Tai really do make each visit unique and tailored to your needs.

If you are looking for spa treatments in Brighton & Hove I can also recommend The Beauty Shed and Shine HQ too!

A big thanks to Tai Hair and Beauty for having me, I’ll be back soon I’m sure!
