As I colour my hair, I am always trying to find the best product to keep it in tip-top condition. Argan oil seems to really suit my hair and leaves it feeling so soft and shiny, but there are so many brands out there who claim to have ‘the best, purest argan oil’, it’s hard to know which one to go for!
I was recently sent these products from haircare company, Argania and was instantly won over by their sweet-nutty scent, gorgeous packaging and ethical message so decided to give them a go. The Argan oil in Argania is certified organic and ethically sourced from the co-operatives that support Morroccan Berber women and support the ancient argan forests, home to the tree climbing goats (see the cute goat on the packaging? Aah, love goats!) – I was easily sold.
I was lucky enough to be sent the Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner and the Liquid Gold Hair Oil to try, which meant I could give my hair the ‘full package’ treatment to see how this works for me. I have quite dry hair as it’s coloured, however the The ‘Desert Defence’ range is nourishing and restorative to all hair types so should suit most. The Argan Oil infused into the product means it’s deeply hydrating without being greasy or heavy at all, leaving hair silky with a lasting shine.
The first thing I noticed about the range is the gorgeous scent, I know I’ve mentioned it already but I can’t get over how amazing these products smell! They infused with a sweet, nutty scent that and leaves my hair smelling so gorgeous for at least 24 hours after use. To get best results, I shampooed twice, working the product into a nice lather, then after rinsing applied the conditioner which is best left on for a couple of minutes for maximum effect. I could already feel how soft my hair was going to be and felt the argan oil absorbing deep into each strand.
The last step of the process is applying the Liquid Gold Hair Oil through towel dried hair. The liquid gold is quite thick and I was a little anxious that it would weigh my hair down, but a 10p sized amount rubbed into the palms and then worked through the ends seems to work a treat! Liquid Gold really does it all, it provides heat protection for styling, it’s soothing perfect for detangling long knotty hair, frizz is eliminated and smoothed and it gives hair a great shine without weighing it down at all. Best of all, it has that sweet nutty scent too! (Ok – I’m aware I’m a little obsessed by the scent…)
Overall, my hair is soft, shiny and really manageable when I use this range, and did I mention, it smells fab too! 😉
