So, today I have a very exciting new release to tell you about. This is the sleekest, classiest range to ever grace The Body Shop’s shelves. Introducing the addictive, sensual Smoky Poppy range – infused with the essence of hand-picked poppy flowers in the Ankara region of Turkey, this is a rich, luxurious product, released just in time for Valentines Day.
The extensive Smoky Poppy range includes all of the classics, from Body Butters and lotions, Shower gel, bath treats and silky massage oil. They are also releasing make-up to compliment the range, with some really cool limited edition releases including a Poppy Palette Shimmer Cube, new colour crush lip and nail colours and I am super excited the Body Shop’s first chubby stick, the Lip and Cheek Matte Velvet stick which comes in a universal shade and adapts to your skin tone by your pH level. Very interesting!
I was lucky enough to try a few products from the range. They all have such a deep, rich floral scent, they feel so luxurious to use, plus the packaging looks gorgeous on any bathroom shelf. At first I found the scent a little too strong for me, but it really warms and adapts over time on the skin into something a lot more feminine and subtle, so don’t be put off by the initital burst of fragrance! I’ve been pampering myself top to toe with the gorgeous Shower Gel, then slathering the deeply moisturising Body Butter on my skin before bed this week. I haven’t yet tried the massage oil, but you never know I might get treated to a massage on Valnetines Day, we shall see!
