LIFE: Wonderful Wednesdays #1

I’ve been reading the gorgeous Sally Tangle’s blog for quite some time now and every Wednesday she fills the blogosphere with loveliness with her #WonderfulWednesday posts. I always think it’s such a lovely idea, to take a few moments to think of the good things that have happened in the week and appreciate the smaller things in life. It’s so easy to get caught up in a world of stress and negativity, I know I’m guilty of that. So I’m hoping these posts will be the shake up I need to remember how wonderful things really are.
So, here’s my list of wonderful things this week…
Cooking a recipe from Pinterest and it turned out pretty damn delicious! This might seem simple to some, but cooking is not my forté. I get by, but I can barely cook an Old El Paso fajita kit without setting the smoke detector off, so I was feeling a little impressed with myself after this one! I made us Aubergine Melts with Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil, yum! Pinterest fail it was not!

♔ My little puppy dog Robbie’s face when I get home from work, as I turn the key in the lock I can see his silhouette bouncing so high behind the glass he’s almost eye level. Every day when I come through the door, he scurries off to find a present for  me, whether thats a bone, a toy or a random piece of clothing laying around – I always come home to big bounces, doggy smiles and a sweet little present.
The big moment we’ve been waiting for has arrived! We are finally exchanging on our gorgeous house by the sea, after nearly 4 long months of waiting. The next couple of weeks will be filled with packing, sorting and getting ready for our new home. I can’t wait to wake up every morning and see the sea from the window of my first house, it’s a dream come true.

Feeling Rested / My Pinterest Creation / Daisy Crochet progress

This weekend we had the most beautiful, restful weekend. Our weekends normally fly by in a flurry of social activities, cleaning and getting ready for the week. But this weekend we took some time out to sleep in, take long walks with the dog and snuggle on the sofa to watch the new Studio Ghibli film ‘The Wind Rises‘. I also got quite a bit done on my crochet daisy blanket. It was just what I needed to recharge my batteries and feel myself again.
On the topic of Japan,  I’ve been tucking into lime-green coloured Matcha Kitkats (bought at Hyper Japan a couple of months ago) and dreaming one day visiting the amazing country of Japan. I can’t wait to one day take a stroll through the cherry blossom and have tea with the geisha’s, or maybe I will get to feed the bunnies of rabbit island! However, I think with the new house on the horizon, for the time being it’ll have to be a Pinterest dream.
One Day
