BEAUTY: Spring Budget Beauty Picks!

So far, we’ve had a seriously expensive start to the year. As you can imagine, buying a house is not cheap so I’ve been trying to save every penny where I can. That’s why I was so excited to find an awesome website I wanted to share with you today – it’s an online skincare and beauty store called Direct Cosmetics. They offer so many beauty products, fragrances, skincare and more – all at discount prices. There are some amazing bargains on top brand names to be had, it’s great! So, seeing as there are such good deals, I thought I’d treat myself to a few bits with a challenge to stick to under £10 per item. For just £30, I got 5 different items – here are my budget beauty picks:

Clinque Chubby Sticks (£5.99 each, normally around £17.00)

I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a Chubby Sticks since they launched a few years ago, but at £17.00 a pop, they’ve always been a tad on the pricey side so me. The Chubby Stick Moisturising Lip Colour Balms give a lovely tint of sheer colour with richly hydrating finish. I chose two shades, Mega Melon – a sweet peachy tone ideal for Spring and Volumtous Violet which is more of a deep shade for the more glam evenings out.

W7 In the Buff Palette (£4.99, usually £9.99)
A fantastic dupe of the famous Urban Decay Naked 2 palette, the W7 palette contains 12 neutral shades in a mix of shimmer and matte that honestly rival the quality of the Urban Decay range. The packaging isn’t quite as slick as the UD range however for a quarter of the price, it’s a great alternative with some really pretty shades for creating a natural Springtime look.
Elizabeth Arden Intensive Hand Cream (£9.99) and Garnier 2-in-1 Ultralift Night Cream (£4.99)

Skincare is where I think some of the best deals are to be found, it’s easy to spent a lot of money on good hand/face cream, so Direct Cosmectics has some great bargains. I was really excited to pick up this Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Hand cream, a classic I’ve been using for over 12 years now – I use it before bedtime for a super intensive overnight treatment, it’s great. The Garnier Ultralift is also handy, with serum and night cream in one it saves time on busy evenings.
