CRAFTS: Daisy Square Crochet Blanket

If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you’ll have seen that I’ve been secretly working away on this little baby blanket, in preparation of our friends gorgeous baby due in May. Finally, last week little Beatrice arrived safe and sound and I was able to give her the gift I’ve been working on for the past couple of months. I love to crochet in the evenings, it’s such a relaxing thing to do after a long day. I sit on the sofa infront of some trashy TV with my crochet in hand, perfect. This pattern was relatively simple, to required little to no concentration, perfect for doing after a stressful day.

I first taught myself to crochet using Youtube Tutorials, I started with easy projects and went from there. When I’m thinking about a new project, my first place to look for inspiration is Pinterest (of course!) There are some amazing ideas on there and I spent quite some time deciding on the right pattern. The design and pattern for this one came from Tillie Tulip’s blog – her step-by-step instructions were so easy to follow. Then I had to think about colours – after much deliberation, I chose pretty girly colours, perfect for a springtime baby girl.

Ta-da! The finished product.
And here is gorgeous Beatrice – isn’t she so adorable!? Now I’m not feeling broody…. at all!! 😉

Are you working on a crafting project at the moment? Would love to hear about it!
