These boots are made for walking

One of my favourite things about preparing for colder weather is choosing a new pair of winter boots, however getting the right pair isn’t always easy. This year I headed to Jones Bootmaker, as they seemed to have one of the best selections of winter boots, where I found the perfect accomplice for any winter outfit.

My staple winter outfit is usually my winter boots, skinny jeans and a chunky knit oversized jumper, all paired with my favourite bright red coat that nips me in at the waist at the most flattering point. This combination never seems to fail and suits most occasions throughout the colder season.

For my trusty winter boots this year, I chose the Serenity Knee Length Boots (£80 reduced from £120 at the moment). These seemed to tick all the boxes for me. When I am looking for a pair of boots, my main priority is comfort as I will literally wear them everywhere – work, casual days out and drinks with friends, so I want a look that is both versatile and comfortable for longer term wear.

Being only 5ft 4, a bit of height is a bonus too – without being too ‘tottery‘ – these wedge heels are so subtle and are the most comfortable boots I’ve worn in such a long time, with velvety soft fabric and cushioned soles I can barely notice I am wearing a heel at all.

Lastly, this stretchy little piece of fabric means they fit perfectly with any outfit – from thicker jeans to tights, the stretch allows them to adjust to my shape allowing for the most flattering, comfortable fit at all times.

I would say one important thing to bear in mind, is being black suede it’s important to keep them dry and out of the rain, which in our unpredictable climate is not always possible! I’ve been caught in the rain a few times in them and so far they’ve been fine but boots like this will need a bit of extra care to keep them looking brand new at their best.

You can order boots from Jones Bootmaker both online and in store –  Plus, if you are quick they have a sale on at the moment!
