Simple Style and Beauty Tips For Busy People
As a mum of 3 (10 weeks, 18 months and 6 years) I don’t often find the time to look after myself as well as I could pre-baby. You may have a busy life with or without children and so simple style and beauty can go a long way.

I don’t have time to spend hours perfecting a look so I’ve decided that this year I’ll stick to the simple classics that always work for me!

My look for the year will focus around boyfriend jeans and a simple tee. Pop a blazer and white converse classics on and you have a preppy look that you can dress down for beach trips (swap for flip flops) or dress up with jewellery for a night out (swap the slouchy tee for a fitted one and a chunky necklace).
Now I’ve selected a simple style next up I’ll concentrate on my jewellery. Necklaces are great but often the kids tug at these so I have a mix of simple kid friendly ones from MamaJewels.co.uk. For something a bit more vibrant I head to local designer RockCakes, as I love her fun and funky acrylic designs.

A beauty system that works is always great, but it needs to be quick when there is 5 of us to get out of the house! At Christmas I was gifted a lovely Burts Bees set; the cleansing lotion is lovely and light. I use a warm reusable wipe to gently wash and warm my skin, after rinsing, I apply the moisturising lotion which absorbs quickly into my skin. A simple slick of Benefits ‘They’re Real‘ mascara and Lush’s tinted lip balm and I’m good to go. If I’m feeling like my lips need to stand out more I used my favourite morange MAC lipstick (it’s a few years old now so I should probably replace it!). This takes five minutes from cleanse to application so easy peasy when I am on the go!

Are you keeping your style simple has we step into spring?
