5 months…. 5 MONTHS! I’m going to start every update post with this but where has the time gone? I can’t believe my little Ultra Violet is a 5 month old now. Today for her update I’m trying something a little different – we have a video for you instead! I found there is only so much you can say through words and pictures, I wanted to make videos not only as they express what she is really like so much better but as memories for us too – I’ve added in some really sweet clips of what she’s been up to, so if I make monthly videos it’ll hopefully be fun for her to look back on one day too. I was a bit nervous making the video (and it was chaotic with a baby and a dog – the phrase don’t work with kids or animals is true!) so I would really love to know what you think to the ‘new format’ and if you have enjoyed it!
Right, onto Violet’s 5 month update:
MONTH FIVE:
Feeding: Formula Fed – moving from comfort to ‘normal’ milk as her tummy is a lot more settled, trying foods now – she enjoys Ella’s Kitchen Banana baby rice, baby porridge, fruit puree, banana, mango, peach – she also grabbed a magnum out of our hands (unplanned!) so I guess she likes chocolate ice cream too!
Weight: 14.1lbs (25th percentile) at 21 weeks
Sleeping: Sleeping through the night, although occasionally restless with her teeth, she’ll settle with a dummy though
Skills: Rolling back to front, holding toys with two hands, examining things carefully, responding to her name, swimming and kicking in the water
Favourite things: The jumperoo and her little pink ‘car’ (baby walker), peaches and bananas, being independent, Robbie (finally – he is loving the attention!)
Hated things: teething, being put to sleep on her back (she likes to lay on her side), being cradled like a baby, waiting for food
Pin for later:
How is she 5 months already?! My two were exactly the same and would only sleep on their sides. How lovely that she’s bonding with Robbie too x
I know, time flies too quickly! I’m so pleased she’s getting on with Robbie, finally! I think the fact she throws whole rusks at him helps too, haha xx
Time is flying isn’t it! She’s so adorable. My little one is a side/front sleeper too. That’s great that she’s mostly sleeping through the night. It makes such a difference when you can get a bit more sleep.
The time passes by too fast – honestly I can’t believe it sometimes! Sleep really does change a lot of things 🙂 xx
Willow slept on her side a lot! It was quite cute really. I can’t believe Violet is 5 months already, that’s flown by! xo
Aah thats interesting! Time is going too quickly isn’t it! xx
Ahhhh I can’t believe how big she is getting xx
I know, it flies by SO FAST xx
Oh happy 5 months!! She’s adorable and I love her name xx
Thank you so much xx
Lily loved her jumparoo too! Lovely update xx
Jumperoo’s are brilliant – especially good for popping her in to nip to the bathroom or to open the door! haha! xx
How on earth is Violet 5 months already!! That is absolutely crazy – Harrison even until now will only sleep on his side!
I know, time is flying by too quickly! They all love sleeping on their side it seems, I had no idea until she started doing it recently! xx
