Review: Treatbox Candy Lovers Subscription Box

As I write this, I have a mouth full of sugary sweet goodness which was delivered through my door this morning. As a serial sweet-fiend, when Treatbox got in touch and asked if I’d like to review their Treatbox Candy Lovers subscription boxes I didn’t even hesitate to reply with a huge YES. What a FABULOUS idea?! Who doesn’t love a surprise box of treats landing on their doorstep every month? I certainly squealed with delight when this lovely box arrived, especially as the weather outside is miserable, both myself and Violet have stinking colds, so this was the perfect pick-me-up without even having to pop to the shops!

So, Treatbox is the perfect gift for yourself or a friend, relative or partner with a sweet tooth. There are various options on the website, ranging from Candy Lovers (the one I received) to Chocolate Lovers, Liquorice Lovers, Retro Sweets or for a touch of luxury, the Finest Belgian Chocolate box, just to name a few.

Each box is packed treats that vary from month to month, so you can never be sure what you are going to get. This is one of the best bits as the element of surprise is so exciting! Honestly, when I heard the thump of this arriving on the doorstep I wondered what I’d been posted – each box is HEAVY as it’s so full to the brim with sugary goodness. The boxes are compact and fit through most letterboxes, so you don’t have to worry about being in for your delivery either.

I really loved the variation inside the box, there was a good mix of different sweets, some liquorice, and chocolate. Some brands I’d heard of, like Jelly Belly and Guylian (two of my favourites) and others I’d not heard of like Droste, which are a Dutch chocolate brand, so it was nice to try something new that I probably wouldn’t find in most shops in the UK. I also loved the New Berry Fruit Jewels as they remind me of my Nan who passed away a few months ago – I remember she enjoyed similar fruity sweets, so it brought back happy memories.

So far, I’ve had two Treatboxes and both have been totally different. I love the element of surprise every month and with the end of my maternity leave round the corner, having some treats waiting on my doorstep when I get home from work surely will brighten any day.

This is a subscription box, but you can pause, cancel or change your subscription at any time, you aren’t tied into anything!
