A Valentines Day Treat with Mr Kipling (+ win a hamper of cakes!) #MrKiplingLoveSeason

When you are a Mum, cake is currency. There is not one soft play meet, play date or coffee and catch up where cake isn’t mentioned, and you know what? I am totally okay with that – cake makes any day so much brighter! It’s also fair to say that during my two years as a parent I’ve eaten a LOT of cake. I know my cakes! So, when Mr Kipling got in touch to ask me if I’d like to review the new Love Season range just in time for Valentines Day – of course it was a resounding YES from me, especially as I’ve got a hamper of cakes to giveaway to one lucky reader too.

So, let’s talk about the limited edition Love Season range. It’s a gorgeous twist on the classic range, with sweet floral packaging with phrases like ‘You are the apple of my pie‘ on each box, too cute! In addition to the range, there is a limited edition addition; Mr Kipling Flower Whirls – a twist on the classic Viennese Whirls with delicate shortcake flowers filled with fruity strawberry jam and cheesecake filling – they are absolutely to delectable!

So, with all these cakes I decided to throw a little tea party at home for V and the girls. We had tea in china teacups and all the cake we could manage! Too bad Pearl isn’t quite old enough to try a cake yet, I think Violet might have eaten her share! I think firm favourites had to be the chocolate slices for Violet – she takes after me with her love for chocolate. V loved the Flower Whirls which is a huge compliment as she’s usually really fussy when it comes to cakes.

The limited edition Mr Kipling Love Season range includes seven different cake varieties:
