As a mama, we know that one of the things that you want more than anything else is to have a night where you can have a bath on your own, perhaps watch an episode of a TV show you love or read a chapter of a book without interruptions and actually get a decent night of sleep. The best way to do this is to spend a night away from the home, or see if someone you trust will have your kids at their house for the night. You deserve the rest.
Remember To Give Yourself Space To Breathe
As parents, we often don’t take the time to breathe as there are so many things that you need to do. But, we see you mama, and we know that you are probably pushing all of your emotions and frustrations back so that you can get everything done. You need to stop, slow down, and give yourself a minute to breathe. You wouldn’t want your friends or your kids to work themselves up into a frenzy to the point where they thought that if they stopped the world was going to end, so why is it okay to do it to yourself? Just give yourself a minute to breathe, and then get back to your list of things that need sorting.
Make Time To See Your Friends
The last thing that we’re going to say is that you should be making time to see your friends. We know that sometimes this feels impossible when you have so much to do, but see if someone will have the kids while you and your friends choose from the many restaurants available to go and have dinner or something. The world will not end because you are enjoying yourself with your friends, we promise. Socializing is really good for your mental health, so you want to make sure you’re keeping up with this.
