So, I’ve been a bit of an eyeshadow fiend this month, my favourite purchase has got to be this awesome naturals palette by Sleek MakeUP. I’ve really enjoyed blending different shades together and trying different looks.
The palette unlike many in the Sleek range has more matte shades than shimmery. This is perfect for me as I love creating a mix of nude, natural shades in the summer, and then more of a smokey eyed look as we head into autumn.
The only slight disappointment with this is that the lighter tones are not as pigmented as I’d have hoped. Swatching them was really tricky and took a few swipes to build up even this colour as above, however I’ve noticed if I use primer beforehand it’s better on my eyes so don’t be put off, it’s still a really great palette. The darker and shimmer tones are highly pigmented and give a bold colour. All the shades blend together well so used together it all works really nicely.
My favourite shades to use are nougat as a base, mixing in a little nubuck, taupe and finally a delicate touch of bark blended into the outer edge/crease to contour.
