    Violet & Pearl – Siblings February 2020

    19 February, 202019 February, 2020

This month seems to have been a real turning point for Violet & Pearl. They’ve suddenly grown so close and have started to form the inseparable bond I always hoped they would have. They are so cuddly and affectionate towards each other it really melts my heart. Plus, things have eased up for me as

    Violet & Pearl – Siblings January 2020

    12 January, 2020

I suddenly realised it’s been nearly 6 months and I’ve not written a siblings update on Violet and Pearl – where did that time go? I loved writing them last year so I want to try and keep them up this year as they are so lovely to look back on! I’ll try to keep

June and July have been awesome month’s for Violet and Pearl, as not only did they go on holiday together, but have become inseparable best friends too. We went away on our Norwegian Fjords cruise in June, which was a challenge with two children so small, but it was perfect for Violet and Pearl as

Finally I’m getting round to writing a Siblings update and this post is a bumper two months for Violet and Pearl! I always hope that I’ll keep up with monthly posts in a series, but in reality time moves too quickly and things get in the way. It always happens – but never mind! It’s

It seems I’m always a few days late to the The Siblings Project but here is our February update! This month marks my final month in the #TwoUnderTwo club! As of the 24th, Violet will turn two – I can’t believe it! I can safely say I survived two-under-two life and although I’m so pleased

    23 January, 201919 February, 2019

It’s been an exciting month for the Siblings as they experienced their first Christmas together! I’m sure that they are too young to really understand what was going on, but I feel like having extra family time together and a whole load of new and exciting toys really brought them together in ways I’d not

    Violet & Pearl – Siblings December 2018

It was totally intentional that we chose to give Violet and Pearl a small age gap. Even though we knew having two-under-two would be incredibly hard work, but we wanted to have siblings that would be close in age so that one day we hope they’ll be not only sisters but best friends too. I’m

Easter weekend vlog! Good Friday was SO sunny and Easter weekend vlog! Good Friday was SO sunny and bright, the perfect Spring day (finally! 🙌🏻). We headed to @wakehurst_kew for the fabulous Superworm trail with the kids.

The trail was great fun with lots of activities to do along the way, including photos with the worm hats (my personal fave 😄😄).

After the trail we had a stroll around the grounds at @wakehurst_kew and it was just STUNNING at this time of year 🌸

We also had the BEST food, Cauliflower pakora from @tigereatscarrot too 😋😋😋

It was a lovely morning after a stressful couple of days 🥰

What are your plans for the Easter weekend? 🐰

AD | Our Evening Routine. As you know the girls ha AD | Our Evening Routine. As you know the girls have been a little under the weather over the last couple of weeks, so I thought I’d share our evening routine for when they are not feeling 100%, to calm and soothe them before they go to bed.

We start with a warm, bubble bath and dry them in warm, fluffy towels which have been on the radiator. Once the girls are in their pyjamas we tuck into bed and read a story.

For clear and easy breathing at night, we have been using our CALPOL® Vapour Plug & Nightlight. It emits soothing lavender and chamomile vapours for up to 8 hours soothing night-time comfort.

Once we’ve finished our story, the girls are ready to tuck down and get some sleep. Hopefully tomorrow they will wake up feeling brighter✨

Have you tried the Calpol Vapour Plug & Nightlight? Give it a try and I’m sure you’ll love the scent. If you don’t you can get your money back*!

We started the Easter holidays off with a trip to We started the Easter holidays off with a trip to @legolandwindsor and had the a fab day. It was probably my favourite time we've ever visited!

It had been rainy early in the morning and I think it put people off coming, so it was the quietest I've ever seen (hello short queues! 🙌🏻) ... also, the girls had grown up SO much since our last visit. Pearl was tall enough for (nearly) everything and they had no interest in the toddler rides, the favourite was The Dragon rollercoaster and the Flight of the Sky Lion (which I loved too 🤩).

We tried rides we'd never been on like Ninjago and Laser Raiders. V braved the swinging pirate ship with Violet and had her eyes tight shut for the entire ride 😄😄 That's some serious Mum points! (My feet stayed firmly on the ground, I hate fast rides, The Dragon was my limit 🙈)

It was a great day all round and despite carrying around a huge umbrella, wellies and puddlesuits there wasn't a drop of rain. WIN ☔️

One thing though (just for a touch of reality) is that the girls were SO TIRED today and we have had a long day of meltdowns to pay for it 😵‍💫😵‍💫. You win some, you lose some 😄😄😄.

How has your weekend been?

APRIL GOALS: How better to start the #TheMeAgainPr APRIL GOALS: How better to start the #TheMeAgainProject than by setting my goals for the month. Starting today I’m starting a little project to ‘find myself’ after having children again. I know it sounds cheesy, but honestly I barely recognise myself and who I used to be anymore and it’s time to turn that around.

I’m not expecting anything to change drastically overnight, some days I don’t have time too wee 🤣 but making little, manageable changes - which are all a step closer to finding me again.

So, this month I’ve set 3 goals:

1. Clear my space & make it home - keep working on my decluttering and renovations. I feel a good spring clean is needed, plus I want to do a budget sofa makeover too! 🙌🏻
2. Go to bed an hour earlier - this one for me is TOUGH, I’m a midnight girl, always have been! Going to bed earlier is totally retraining my brain, but now V gets up at 5am I need it!
3. Making healthier choices with food - I just want to feel GOOD in myself again, so I’m trying to cut back on sugar (Easter aside, of course!) and make healthier choices.

If you are feeling similar and want to try and feel more like yourself again - join me on this little project!

I’d love to hear your goals in the comments below ⬇️
Introducing… #TheMeAgainProject! Eek, I’m so e Introducing… #TheMeAgainProject! Eek, I’m so excited to share with you a little project I’ve been working on for a while!

I’ve realised over the last few years I’ve lost who I really am, I’ve been deep in the trenches of motherhood and have got to the stage I don’t recognise myself anymore and I’ve been trying to work out what I can do to turn this around.

I am going to set myself small manageable goals each month (starting 1st April) to inch closer to the ‘me’ I was before.

I know I’m probably not the only one feeling like this so I thought I’d share my journey with you all (and hope you’ll join me too?)

Let me know if you relate 🥰

MONDAY MORNING RESET 🧹 - Does anyone else's hom MONDAY MORNING RESET 🧹 - Does anyone else's home look like this after a manic Monday morning school run? We've had a busy weekend, so this morning I set an hour timer and tried to see how much I could get done. I'm feeling quite self conscious about our home at the moment, there is SO much I want to change but so little time, we want to renovate the kitchen, get a new sofa (but waiting for the young kids/puppy stage to finish!) and the clutter - well, that is just never ENDING! But I wanted to show you what a real Monday morning looks for me, picking up the girls PJ's, cereal bowls, emptying the dishwasher and making the beds. It might not be perfect, but after quick hour refresh and some crisp Spring fresh air - it's made a big difference! 🌸

I can't tell you how GOOD it feels to lace up my w I can't tell you how GOOD it feels to lace up my walking boots again. Its been a while! 🥾 @coppafeelpeople training round two officially started today, starting with a 11.5km walk from Ditching Beacon to the Jack & Jill windmills and down to the Chattri War Memorial with @didicraze. It was raining as I left the house and I could have SO easily decided not to go, but we embraced the weather and just went for it and I'm glad we did.

Amazing chats, beautiful views and a super rewarding, challenging walk in the training bank 🙌🏻.

There was only one fail of the day.... not enough snacks. This girl was HUNGRY.... I mean, starving. We talked about cakes, roast dinners, the perfect chip size (chunky), jellybabies and more. Food chat got us by but next time I'm taking a rucksack of snacks! 😋

What did you get up to this weekend?
Is it me, or does this weather make you want to h Is it me, or does this weather make you want to hibernate? For the first time this morning I took Dolly for a walk in the beautiful Spring sunshine and thought 'FINALLY, Spring is here!' but nope, by the school run it was pouring with rain and we got DRENCHED (of course). 🌧

I just want to get started with life again..... with longer warmer dog walks, sea swims, mowing the lawn, watching the garden spring into life. Surely all of this must be coming.... soon? 👀

What are you most excited about when Spring finally does arrive? 💐

AD | Clean & Bake with us 🧹🧁. To celebrate I AD | Clean & Bake with us 🧹🧁. To celebrate International Day of Happiness (20th March 2023) @euronicsuk have challenged us to do something to make a loved one smile! ❤️

As you know, V works really hard, has a long commute and throws herself into family life with very little ‘me time’ so the girls and I decided to clean the house from top-to-bottom and bake crispy cakes to surprise her after a very long, busy day!

@euronicsuk are the home of electricals. They stock everything from laundry appliances, ovens, and dishwashers to microwaves and TVs - they have us covered with a range of appliances that make life at home just that little bit easier!

What is that ONE job at home you dislike doing that you’d love someone to do for you on International Day of Happiness? (hint, hint partners - listen up!) 🤣
Happy Mother's Day 💐 A day well spent with my f Happy Mother's Day 💐 A day well spent with my favourite girls, and also a bittersweet day as we also finally signed the forms to say goodbye to our embryos. I am so amazingly grateful to be a mother and for the two children we have, they are my world...but I will always remember those five little em-babies. I know this is the right decision for us but I will treasure them in my heart forever too 😭💔.
