BLOGGERS: #Brighton OTB Blogger Weekend

This weekend was the most fun I’ve had in quite some time! I was so excited to be invited to the Brighton On the Beach Blogger weekend, which was a select group of lovely bloggers from both Brighton and London coming together for a two-day celebration of seaside and cinema. This was also my first blogger event with an overnight stay which was so much fun, like a giant blogger sleepover! The hotel was only 100m from my house, but it was lovely to get away for the night and starfish in my own hotel bed for the night!

Brighton Big Screen giving us a big welcome!
After we checked into our hotel rooms at the Ibis City Centre Brighton, we headed down to the seafront were treated to a movie in style at the VIP area of the Brighton Big Screen. The cinema is an open air screen set up right on the beach in Brighton, it’s lovely as you can watch a movie as the sunsets in the background, even though it’s on my doorstep I’ve been wanting to go for ages now! We watched Alpha Papa – the new Steve Coogan movie, this was the first big surprise of the evening – the man himself, Steve Coogan was there to introduce the movie! He was lovely and chatted to us for a bit, let us take a few snaps and had a couple of drinks in the VIP area with us too. Amazing!! We then settled in to watch the movie with scrumpious burrito’s from Bang Bang Burrito, cute little bags of popcorn and wine – lots of wine!

Arriving back to the hotel we were in for the next treat – The lovelies at On the Beach had booked two adjoining rooms for us which turned into a huge pampering area – it was like the biggest blogger sleepover you’ve ever seen! We had face masks, foot scrubs, moisturisers, cleansers, manicure stations – you name it, it was there. I had such a good time trying out all the different products with the girls over a glass of bubbly or two. We even had our own personalised dressing gowns made for us, I can safely say we were thoroughly spoilt that evening!

Cupcake Lush Face Mask – smells gorgeous, looks hilarious!
The next morning we were up bright and early (ok, not so early) to enjoy a full English breakfast with all the trimmings at the hotel. That has to be one of my favourite things about staying in a hotel – the breakfast! I would never eat 3 courses at home that early in the morning, so I always push the boat out and treat myself. So, after a huggee breakfast, was a trip to the local Pottery Cafe.
We were able to chose which shape we wanted to paint from a selection of mugs, plates and bowls, the trickiest part was deciding what to paint! It was such a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning, we sipped tea and chatted as we painted – so lovely! I really, really enjoyed the pottery painting – it’s so therapeutic, I’ll be back again soon. I chose this cute mug with a heart shaped handle. The colours look very light but once it’s been glazed and fired in the kiln the colours will be a lot brighter.

Sadly, it was time to say goodbye to the group. It was such an amazing weekend, I loved spending time with my Brighton blogger girlies and meeting some new faces from London too. The group got on so well and we had such a laugh. Thank you SO much to Fiona from Fifi McGee, Epiphany PR and On the Beach for having us, it was such an amazing weekend!

I met some amazing bloggers at the event so please do have a nosey at their blogs:
