A couple of weeks ago, I joined Forde Hair, Brighton for a session of pampering and sweet treats at their ‘Bubbles, Bloggers and Blow-drys’ evening. Forde Hair has got to be the most stylish boutique hairdressers in town. From the moment you walk in there is a buzz of colours, the walls are lined with elegant gold mirror’s and retro hair driers – It’s got to be one of the most unique salon’s I’ve ever visited.
As the bloggers arrived, the vibrant team were on hand to greet us with champers, after a little mooch around the salon and a catch-up we were all whisked away to have our hair styled by the team. As I’ve just had my hair cut into a long graduated bob, I’ve been feeling a little lost with how to style shorter hair, hair stylist Dan showed me how to add big bouncy curls to my flat, straight hair in no time using the Corioliss Glamour Wand (which was also funky zebra print). He created such a pretty look and it lasted so well, my curls were perfect the next day. He made it look so simple, I’m going to try it myself soon.
After our blow-drys, we had a chance to chat with the team, grill them with our hair questions and explore the salon. It was to get to know the team a little better, they are a lovely bunch and would put anyone entering the salon at ease straight away. We also had a chance to meet Arnaud and Vincent from the hair styling brand Corioliss, who chatted us through their products and answered any questions we might have. Of course, it was fab to catch up with the Brighton blogger girlies too.
After canapés, cupcakes and even more champagne, the bloggers gathered around the sofa to receive a super generous goody bag. It was like Christmas day, everyone pulling out gifts, squealing and laughing. They really spoilt us, our bags included a pair of Corioliss C3 Hair Straighteners and the most amazing invention ever – the GoGo Styler from Corioliss, which is an in-car hair straightener. Expect a Corioliss blog review soon, including a few other bits too! 😉
Overall, we had a lovely evening at Forde Hair and I’ll certainly be popping back to get my cut and colour done next time. Check out their website for further information and do pop in if you are in Brighton as it’s such a friendly salon, they’d love to see you.
