Spring Maternity Wear with Frugi Bloom

How nice has this lovely sunny weather been? It’s like we were instantly transported from winter into full blown summer in a day, so of course we have been making the most of it by getting out and about as a family, enjoying the warmth and the sunshine. I’m sure it’ll turn chilly again in no time, this is England after all! One thing this sudden blast of summer weather has taught me was that I am NOT prepared with many maternity summer clothes at all! I had a winter pregnancy with Violet, so just to be awkward, I’m doing this completely opposite this time, with a summer baby. This also means none of my old maternity clothes are the right size or season! I’ll be at my biggest in July/August, so having some lovely, light, easy to wear maternity clothes is going to essential. Another thing I realised during my sudden summer wardrobe panic is that I won’t be able to reach my feet soon so I may as well just settle with pumps and flip flops too!

One maternity range I am really loving right now is the Bloom range by Frugi. I’d heard of Frugi because of their bright, vibrant baby clothes range (in fact, Violet has this outfit!), but had no idea until recently they cater for mums-to-be and breastfeeding mums too! The new Spring Summer 2018 collection is made from organic cotton in new Frugi signature prints, making them ideal for warmer weathers. All the pieces are cleverly designed for bump to breastfeeding which is handy as I know they’ll last me long after baby has arrived too!

When I saw this gorgeous Lightweight Denim Smock Tunic with that gorgeous floral print, I just knew it was the one for me! Such a versatile piece, it can be worn with leggings (mine are the Roll Top Yoga Pants) or without as it’s not too short. The fit is perfect as the drawstring allows you to adjust it to your bump size, or bring it in once baby has been born, with buttons for breastfeeding this will be one that stays in the wardrobe the entire summer. If the weather gets chilly, the Dress Cardi is the perfect accompaniment to this outfit, or many others as it’s so versatile.

I also got Violet a few summer bits, I love this yellow llama print dress from M&S – so cute.

Last weekend, we headed out for a sunny dog walk to try out our new summer wardrobes….

Hope you were able to enjoy some of the warm weather last weekend! If you are pregnant at the moment, check out Frugi Bloom – I’d also love to know where you like to shop so send me your recommendations too!
