A couple of weeks ago I was invited to the MySalonLooks summer party, at their salon in Hove. I attended with the lovely Carrie: Brighton, where we were treated to an evening of champagne, hair and tanning demonstrations and live music. I completely fell in love with the place. Such a funky, modern salon with such friendly staff, they totally put me at ease. At the end of the evening I plucked up the courage to discuss a hair style I’ve been thinking about for a while now, but haven’t had the confidence. I had a colour consultation with Damien, who was super friendly and really listened to me. He also gave excellent advice on what colours would suit my skin tone, and showed me pictures of what he had in mind using the handy iPad’s they have at each station. I was really impressed and felt I could trust him with my hair (I quite often feel nervous with a new hairdresser) so I booked in an appointment.

As you can see in this picture I had very light highlighted hair, which I felt was totally washing my skin tone out. It’s nearly Autumn so time to get something warmer and more natural.
My salon experience in pictures! I was offered Champagne on arrival and made to feel really comfortable. Damien then discussed in full the colours he was thinking of for me and the techniques he would be using. I really liked this as I hate not knowing what is happening to my hair!
As my hair colour went on we chatted about all sorts of things, and I learnt a lot about how to curl my hair and style it for the future – handy!

The finished look! A much warmer, dark blonde fading into bright blonde dip dye! I’ve been wanting to go for the ombre look for ages but didn’t know if it would suit me. I am so pleased with it, I feel so much more confident and I feel the colour works so well with my skin tone. V-man loves it too, and took lots of pictures when I arrived home which was nice. I would thoroughly recommend MySalonLooks Hove and will go back there for sure.
