Last Sunday I was treated to a lovely day out by V-man. As I was starting to feel a bit better we decided to have a little mooch around on the seafront and on the pier, then he took me to a quaint little tearoom he had seen the day before ‘and thought of me’. Sweet.
The Mock Turtle is a quaint little Victorian style tea room tucked away just behind Pool Valley in Brighton. Not really a road I often walk down so it’s easy to miss.
Although there are so many cakes to chose from we opted for a classic cream tea, which was just delicious! Our warm fruit scones were served on blue willow china, with their own home blend of loose-leaf tea. It’s amazing to think they bake all of those amazing home-made cakes in such a tiny little tea room. They also do light snacks and sandwiches, so perfect for a lunch out too. We will most definitely be popping back to sample more of their delicious cakes soon!
