Is it me, or does this weather make you want to h Is it me, or does this weather make you want to hibernate? For the first time this morning I took Dolly for a walk in the beautiful Spring sunshine and thought 'FINALLY, Spring is here!' but nope, by the school run it was pouring with rain and we got DRENCHED (of course). 🌧

I just want to get started with life again..... with longer warmer dog walks, sea swims, mowing the lawn, watching the garden spring into life. Surely all of this must be coming.... soon? 👀

What are you most excited about when Spring finally does arrive? 💐

AD | Clean & Bake with us 🧹🧁. To celebrate I AD | Clean & Bake with us 🧹🧁. To celebrate International Day of Happiness (20th March 2023) @euronicsuk have challenged us to do something to make a loved one smile! ❤️

As you know, V works really hard, has a long commute and throws herself into family life with very little ‘me time’ so the girls and I decided to clean the house from top-to-bottom and bake crispy cakes to surprise her after a very long, busy day!

@euronicsuk are the home of electricals. They stock everything from laundry appliances, ovens, and dishwashers to microwaves and TVs - they have us covered with a range of appliances that make life at home just that little bit easier!

What is that ONE job at home you dislike doing that you’d love someone to do for you on International Day of Happiness? (hint, hint partners - listen up!) 🤣
Happy Mother's Day 💐 A day well spent with my f Happy Mother's Day 💐 A day well spent with my favourite girls, and also a bittersweet day as we also finally signed the forms to say goodbye to our embryos. I am so amazingly grateful to be a mother and for the two children we have, they are my world...but I will always remember those five little em-babies. I know this is the right decision for us but I will treasure them in my heart forever too 😭💔.

How has your day been?
#AD | Come with me as I prepare for Mother’s Day #AD | Come with me as I prepare for Mother’s Day as a two mum family. For us Mother’s Day is a double celebration! We don’t have a traditional day where one of us will stay in bed and get treats, as we are both mums in this house! Instead, we like to do joint things that we can both enjoy together.

This year I have put together a Mother’s Day treat box which is a gift for us both to enjoy once the kids have gone to bed. I did the school run then popped to my local @Morrisons where I picked up everything I needed for the big day.

@Morrisons have everything to make this Mother’s Day special without spending too much money. From Morrisons florist/bouquets of flowers (to suit any budget), cards, thoughtful gifts, table decor and more - you could also buy ingredients for a delicious meal to celebrate the special Mum in your life too!

They have a fab selection of Mother’s Day cards, which are really reasonable in price too. They were so good I thought I’d tick something of V’s to-do list and pick myself up one too (#mumlife)

How do you celebrate Mother’s Day in your house? #Morrisons #MothersDay
How do you know when your family is truly complete How do you know when your family is truly complete?

This week our fertility clinic called out of the blue to remind us we still have embryo’s in their storage facility, that have been there in the deep freeze for SEVEN years now 😳 Is it finally time to say goodbye?

I admit, I’d buried my head in the sand about them. We always thought we’d have at least three children, but after two-under-two chaos, then the pandemic (we didn’t plan for that one, did we!) time just kept rolling on. Fast forward to now I’m nearly 38, the girls are both at school, we are finally getting our work, home and lives back after being in the utter TRENCHES of early motherhood. I think we know the newborn days are behind us, but we just didn’t want to admit it.

I feel sad for my little embryos that aren’t going to make it. If I could donate them, I would. Pearl was a little freezer baby, so I’ve seen that those little embryos ARE little people and just knowing that fills me with all kinds of sadness and guilt. It doesn't bear thinking about. But I can’t have 5 more babies, it’s just not realistic.

So, what are we going to do? Would it be TOTALLY weird to have a ‘goodbye embryos’ ceremony of some sort, to mark that we are SO grateful to them and for giving us that chance? Is there a way I could keep something to remind me of them forever? Is this a thing?

Maybe I’m overthinking it, but if you are an IVF parent you’ll know how far it’s taken to get to this point, they were SO wanted, so it’s not natural to say goodbye either.

If you’ve been in this position, what did you do? Or what would you do? Do you have any advice on dealing with this difficult goodbye 💜

AD | Brrrr, the weather has been SO chilly recent AD | Brrrr, the weather has been SO chilly recently hasn’t it! ❄️ One of our favourite things to do on a chilly, crisp day is build a cosy fort to snuggle up with the girls and read their favourite stories.

As a family we are always looking for eco-friendly ways to stay warm, and adding @myStoov heated pillow (or ‘Ploov) and heated chair cover (which is lovingly called the ‘Big Hug’ 🥰) has been a game changer to our fort building as it makes it SO toasty warm!

@MyStoov are cordless heated products which you can use all around the house or on the go, whether you are working from home, building forts or on the commute.

They warm via infrared technology, which means you can keep warm without having to turn your heating up - a sustainable option, which keeps those heating bills down too!

@MyStoov is the perfect gift this Mother’s Day - like a big warm hug, that just keeps on giving! 🥰 They come in various colours, fabrics, shapes and sizes, too, so they easily suit a range of interior décor taste.

How have you been keeping warm this weekend?

🐢 unboxing! It's the unboxing I've been looki 🐢 unboxing!

It's the unboxing I've been looking forward to the most! Wilbur, our 96 year old tortoise is awake 🥰🥰🥰

This is our first year with Wilbur and first hibernation, so I can't tell you how worried I've been about him over the winter. It's such a strange concept to just put your pet in a box in the garage and retrieve them 4 months later 😆😆, but he's fine. If anything he was way more spritely than I imagined he would be.

First job was a bath with his vitamin solution to clean him off and give him some fluids.
Now we need some warm weather so he can get back to roaming the garden 🐢

7 TOP TIPS TO SAVE MONEY AT DISNEYLAND! 🐭🏰✨
In Feb 2023, we travelled to Disneyland Paris as a family of four - on a budget. I've had SO many questions about this, so I thought I'd share my top money saving tips 👇🏻

1. Buy as much as you can BEFORE the trip - Mickey Mouse ears, Princess dresses, costumes, ponchos, pocket warmers, gloves, hats - just come with as much as you can as everything costs more at Disney 😆

2. Bring snacks from home - We filled the car with snacks, crisps, cereal bars, fruit pouches, bear fruit snacks and more. Every day we had a huge breakfast at the hotel, grazed on our snacks then just needed to buy dinner.

3. Bring your own water bottle - there are refilling stations all around the park. Water is really expensive (around 4-5 euros)

4. Don't pre-book shows - despite the wording on the Disneyland Paris app, they are all free! You are paying just to reserve certain seats. Just get there 30-45 minutes before, all the theatres are tiered seating so you'll be able to see from any seat and it's all included in your ticket price.

5. Claim your tax back at the end! 🙌 Did you know you can claim the tax back on your purchases upon leaving France? Save all your receipts, head to the City Hall within the park and you'll be entitled to money back. We got a refund of 30 Euros, which was our biggest saving.

6. Make sure your UK bank account isn't charging you per transaction. We didn't take any cash and paid a flat fee of £7 to use our Lloyd's debit card abroad for a week. Other banks are totally free, just check before you go on your rates.

7. Don't stay in a Disney Hotel - We stayed at the B&B Hotel which is not part of the Disney chain and it was absolutely perfect. A great clean, comfy base - we were hardly in the room anyway. Most of the local hotels offer a free shuttle bus to Disneyland, this is a great way to save a LOT of money on your trip.

Hope these tips helped! Please do share your top money saving tips for Disneyland Paris below 👇🏻
    #AD | Come with me on a Mother’s Day Staycation #AD | Come with me on a Mother’s Day Staycation with @YankeeCandleeu 🌸

Do you ever take time out as a mum, just for you? I hardly ever have time away from the girls, so when I do I treasure each moment, just for me. Being a mum is exhausting, I’m often worrying am I doing it right? Am I a good mum? It’s a lot.

Yankee Candle are celebrating just how special mums are this Mother’s Day and during our stay we learned all about the evolution of the brand and the gorgeous new fragrances - especially my favourite, Hand Tied Blooms, which is the perfect springtime fragrance ideal for Mother’s Day gifting.

We stayed at the beautiful @thetawnyhotel - my room was quaintly named Owl’s Nest, a secluded cabin in the woods, perfect for some well-earned ‘me time’ to relax and unwind. It was BLISS and so needed.

If you are a mum, I know things aren’t always a breeze. But you are truly amazing. You have got this. I hope this Mother’s Day you are celebrated or will be celebrating the ones you love for the truly amazing Mum’s that you are 🥰
